I needed a place to put all of the various projects that I’m working on, and sort of a switchtower where I can use one URL across the InterWebs and still have dynamic updating, so here you are: SimplicioSystems.com

Simplicio Systems Inc. is my company. I am a Solopreneur, and unapologetically so. I currently run Folding Farmer, a Folding @ Home as a Service (FAHaaS) offering, which runs the Folding @ Home client for you on machines you never have to buy, setup, configure, monitor, power, cool, etc. You just earn the points.

I just started Hand-Built PC’s and Parts because nearly all PC’s currently ship with tremendous amounts of bloatware, and I wanted to do something to change that. So I build PC’s custom for you, including any OS you want that I can get my hands on (currently any flavor of Windows, OSX, Linux, *BSD, and Solaris/OpenSolaris, with more upon request).

I also run this site’s alter-ego, Simplicio Systems: Meditech NPR Report Writing and Custom Programming, because that has been my day job for 8 years, until I decided to strike out as an entrepreneur, so I have mad Magic and VMagic skills. These languages have there roots in MUMPS, which predates C. Yes, that’s right, I’m a rock-star programmer in a 40-year-old language. And it’s FAST. No relational databases need apply.

I’m currently working on several other projects which will see the light of day sooner or later. Do stay tuned to find out when they are open for closed beta’s.

FoldCast, a stats and monitoring application that enhances and adds value to our Folding Farmer offerings.

TacoMatic, a virtual taco stand where you can order your tacos, your way, and get immediate gratification. This is thanks to the obsession of one Jason Hoffman, CTO of Joyent and I’d like to call him a friend.

Joyus Gigs, a place for fellow Joyent customers to offer their services, and to acquire the help they need on a loosely-coupled basis.
